# How do I create a new user?

Creating a new user in **cThings Cloud** is a straightforward process. Follow the steps below to add a new user to your account.

## Steps to Create a New User

###### Access the Users Page
* Navigate to the **Users** page in **cThings Cloud **by clicking users from the menu on the left-hand side.
* Click the **New User** button in the top-right corner. This opens the user creation process in a modal window.

###### Select User Type
* Choose **Standard User** as the user type.
* Click **Next** to proceed.

###### Enter User Details
* Enter the user's **First **and **Last **name in the input fields.
* Enter a valid **Email Address** in the **Email Address** input field.
* Select the user's **Organisation** from the dropdown menu.
* Click **Next** to continue.

###### Assign Roles
* Choose the appropriate role(s) for the user.
* Click **Next** to proceed.

###### Assign Assets
* Select which assets the user should have access to.
* Click the **Create User **button in the bottom right-hand corner to finish the process.

###### Verify the New User
* Once the user is created, they will receive an email to set up their password and complete their profile (if necessary).
* If you have already set a password for the user, they can log in immediately.
