# How do I move an Asset?

An asset and all child assets, devices and network nodes can be moved around the hierarchy in cThings Cloud or using the cThings Cloud API.

||| An *Asset* may also be referred to as an *Entity*

To move an asset around the hierarchy in cThings Cloud:

1. Navigate to the Asset
2. Go to the Asset menu and select *Move*
3. Select a new Parent Asset for the Asset to be moved
