How do I download data for a device?

You can export all historical data associated with a device through the cThings Cloud platform.

Note: exported data will be saved as a .csv file, which can either be opened using a text editor or a number processor such as Excel

  • Within the Data tab, you will see a graph displaying historical readings.

  • Choose a start date and end date for the period of data you wish to download.

Selecting your downloaded data interval

  • Specify the interval at which the data should be grouped for export.

Setting the download data types

  • Choose the specific data types or readings you would like to include in your export.

Downloading the data

  • Click the EXPORT button located in the top-right corner of the table view.
  • The data will be downloaded in the format and structure you have configured.

To preserve formatting (e.g., long numeric values like device IDs), avoid converting the .csv file automatically when opening it in Excel. Instead, open it through Excel’s Import Wizard or save it as an .xlsx file after import.
