How to set the default configuration for the SDM530


Unlocking the device


To send downlinks that reconfigure your SDM530 to the default settings, the device must first be unlocked. This is done by reading the password and then writing it back to the device. To perform these steps, you can send the following downlinks.


Make sure to wait for a response uplink after sending each downlink

If you are unsure whether the meter configuration has been unlocked, you can send the following command.

Receiving the following uplink indicates that the device is unlocked.

The following uplink indicates the device is still locked.

Setting the default configuration for the device


Once the device is unlocked, the following downlinks can be sent to reset the device to its default configuration.


Make sure to wait for a response uplink after sending each downlink
